Do you know Rowena Kincaid? She was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer by doctors who said that she’d likely die within 6 months. After this sad event, she has opened a Facebook page whose name is ‘Rowena Kincaid: Before I Kick The Bucket’ with 11750 likes. And her aim is to be realized discrimination in illness person. With all of these, Facebook banned her photos with nipple.
Rowena Kincaid wrote that on her Facebook page “Hello everyone, Facebook notified me that it has automatically taken down due to the nudity rules. It violates their codes of practice. It doesn’t see what the reason behind it is, it’s just automatic. It can’t see that the picture I posted earlier, may actually save lives,”
And she added that “I am obviously totally gutted, as it took a lot to share this picture with you, because I’m so body conscious, & fretted about sharing at all!! Anyway, thank you for getting involved in my last post, and I’m glad some of you managed to see what to look for; when looking for signs of cancer. When I have the energy to repost the message ONLY again… I will. xxx”
I am sure that everyone has thought that Is it really and only about the classical restriction rules of Facebook and why do Facebook rules apply on woman’s life? Rowena Kincaid wants to help other woman. It was the only goal. It is directly related to scare of woman sexuality and so many women support her with her comments like “Posting that photograph was the bravest thing I’ve done. It’s so personal; I was petrified. The fact is it is a shot of a human body part with a disease. If I had cancer in my big toe and had posted a picture to show what it looked like would they take that down.”
