Kate Upton is The EDIT’s cover star this week. The model and actress, poses in a series of sensual pieces by Valentino, Victoria Beckham, Marni, The Row and Roland Mouret. Photographed by Victor Demarchelier and styled by Morgan Pilcher, Upton is flawless and once again proves her synonymity with high style.
In one of the pictures sporting a black and white midi skirt she flaunts her famous curves and bombshell beauty.
In the accompanying interview Upton discusses how she revamped her look revealing how she wasnt so stylish before. “I knew nothing about fashion. I knew about rainbow flip-flops, and that’s about it! So I’d look everyone up, see which other people they’d shot and what their style was, to be as prepared as possible,” she says.
The 22-year old told added that these days she’s more likely to step out in a leather Dior dress than leather flip flops. When it comes to brands she loves Lanvin, Narciso Rodriguez, Stella McCartney, Saint Laurent and Chanel. ‘I love having one really good Chanel moment in your closet – something classic,” she told the mag.
Upton also expresses how she no longer fancies social media, ‘I feel like social media at this point is kind of b******t. At the beginning it was amazing and a lot of fun,’ it was like, “Cool, I can talk to my fans!” And now I think that we’re losing the art of it. When I first joined Twitter it was just me, but [when] you’ve got contracts, it’s so planned. Now it’s about who has the best marketing, not who has a really good personality.’
“The Internet can be horrible, so I just don’t look at it anymore…But maybe a bit of hate is good for me. Because if I’m in a spot where everyone loves me, I won’t try as hard.” she continues.
