Most of us go through life with more or less natural hair colours like black, brown, blonde or ginger. Even if you painted your hair one of these colours it is still considered to be a natural colour. But there are some people who prefer to step outside the tones nature blessed human hair to be. Gorgeous colours like purple, blue, pink, green and pretty much any colour you can find look bold and beautiful.
But a hairstylist took what the human hair could look like to a whole new level. Ursula Goff started a new project, painting hair based on famous paintings of Andy Warhol, Edward Munch and Van Gogh, just to name a few.
The hair stylist Ursula Goff said she had always been interested in art and this was definitely the reason she wanted to engage herself in this project.
The Kansas-based hair stylist wanted to create a ‘Fine Arts’ series to show how amazing it would be if artist painted your hair instead of a canvas.
The hairs look amazing after being painted into the colours of famous paintings from Starry Night to The Girl with the Pearl Earring, if it was painted, Goff could surely adapt it to have it painted on your hair.
From what we can tell, Ursula Goff used the primary colours used in the paintings in the amount they are perceived and painted your hair. She did not paint the painting onto the hair, and if she did, what she made wouldn’t necessarily be considered to be “art”.
Taking the colours used by the artists and applying them to hair could even be considered to a be a homage to the artists. And her work transforming hair outside the preconceived boundaries most definitely gives inspiration to those of us looking for something different in our next hairdo.
