It seems like Selfies have always been a thing when it is so easily forgotten that we have been taking Selfies for a couple of years now. Not that our phones did not have a front camera before, nobody thought to make it a thing so we weren’t taking Selfies and putting hashtags and sharing them with other people. All this started once we had the term ‘Selfie’ and we are yet to see the end of it.
Now that we have gotten so used to Selfies, we have a new thing. It might sound absurd at first but seeing how far the Selfie has come, this new trend may just take over. The new trend bath selfies started as an Instagram project of Miley Cyrus but it is sure to take over every bubbly bath in the world.
Miley Cyrus was very consistent in her bath selfie project, putting many of them on her Instagram. She could single handedly be bringing back the Soapie trend of 2013.
Whether she is “getting romantic with herself”, blowing bubbles or doing a risky pose recently for Miley Cyrus bath time means selfie time, although some of her photos are clearly taken by someone who we don’t know.
Miley Cyrus does not just stop at photo, often she makes GIFs of her blowing bubbles and such. She is truly using all that she’s got either to start a new Bath Selfie movement or to let everyone know how often she bathes.
There still is no name for the bath selfie movement but; bathie, bathsie, or the old soapie are among few names for it. And although there is yet to be a name for a hashtag, celebs are following in Cyrus’s footsteps with Ruby Rose and Justin Bieber taking bath selfies of their own.
