We can all agree that 2016 Grammys was not the best performance for the extremely talented singer Adele. The voice that we all thought was too good to be true was ruined by technical difficulties. Despite realising there was something wrong she continued singing, and that is why Adele hated her Grammys performance.
But that was all. She did not hate herself because she kept going and ruining her perfect record. She gave an amazing performance just two days later when she sang on Ellen DeGeneres’s show. And she sang the same song!
Afterwards she gave Ellen an interview explaining what had happened. She explained that the microphone fell on to the piano strings to make the guitar sound and she actually realised this but she froze. She could have turned around to pick it up but she was so nervous that she just could not!
Despite everyone thinking it was a complete disaster Adele felt like it went pretty well. Everyone thought Adele hated her Grammys performance because her voice was pitchy but she said she was always a bit pitchy anyway. She said that it is the emotion making her voice pitch all the time.
Adele said she was embarrassed later on when the next day people came up to her saying they still loved her. Adele’s hilarious response was “I didn’t ask you if you still loved me, but thanks!” Even though Adele hated her Grammys performance she still had no confidence issues. And that’s another reason to love her.
She also added that after all these years, she still had stage fright and that she still felt nervous going on stage. She said the stage fright she has now is even more than when she was at the beginning because now more people are counting on her to give a great performance.
